I would say your looking in the wrong place as most of us are scattered out all across the U.S.See if there is a local real estate club there you can join.

The rest it seems will more than likely be scattered?

Think about it this way: if you want to buy 30 doors, is it better to have 30 closings or one; fix 30 roofs or one; pay attorney (and many other experts needed to close) for 30 closings or one, pay property manager to manage a property with 30 apartments or 30 houses scattered all over the place. 

Each property was in the same neighborhood, but they were scattered throughout.
