There are some other things, pvc drain pipe from kitchen is broken from the sink to the sewer line, replace the gas water heater with a electric, a couple broke windows, storm door.

... and while you are caulking the window, clean the weeping/drain holes in the window frame (if it has them) and have a look above the window on the outside and see if water is getting in there.

I grew up in a fishing community and when I was a kid everyone dumped their garbage over the rail ... many drained old engine oil in shaft alley and pumped it out with the bilge water.
