So do STR hurt yes but they also help the economy because locals benefit from the lesser number of kids in the schools and the increased amenities like restaurants and more grocery stores and shops you would not have if you weren't a STR area.

If that is the case you could make them the responsible party for the cameras without you having access but I would just remove and store until vacant if this is single family and let them take the risk.

The new builds are very attractive with all of the incentives, but they are often in weird corners of the town and do not command as high of rent as more prime locations that have been around for awhile.

If you want to take a vacation, be out sick for an extended period, or even just move on, you'll need to "hire" and train a replacement.In terms of "The Cashflow Quadrant" (E - S - B - I), you're in the bottom-left corner: you're self-employed.You would need to move to the top-right corner and become a business owner: the business needs to run even when you're out sick, on vacation, "on family leave", etc.If you're new to the concept, "The Cashflow Quadrant" looks like this:E | B-----S | I"E" is you're an employee in someone else's business.

When things were less competitive (I'm in 4 Corners) I had it turned off but we're already at less than 50% occupancy for the year the last 1.5 and having it off would increase that likely fairly substantially.If the platforms had better filters it wouldn't be a problem.
