I have spent around 16k in cleaning, painting, contractors, large trash & donation pick ups, utility and fixture upgrades, and re-did the floors to their original stains (one room exception).

Hi, I have a general tax/llc related question.Does a holding/parent company (LLC) need an EIN and have to file taxes if the subsidiary/operating company will file for it's own taxes?

Traveling professors, students, parents, nurses, patients, patient families all have a need for short term furnished rentals.

A more sophisticated approach that you might want to use in the future is to set up an LLC in the state where the property is located but have the LLC owned by a parent company located offshore.

But we just need to look back on a little company called Hewlit and Packard that was started in a garage in Palo Alto with 20k in credit card debt.. or Jobs and Wozniack  working out of their parents garage in Los Altos..  

And it’s always possible the house will shift back to where it was (this happened with my parents’ house that was affected by the clay issues I mentioned - they never had to repair anything and I do not believe they had drywall cracks or floor damage).

Looking for advice… my husband & I having been living in his parent’s investment property in California since they purchased the home in 2013 for Ryan.

Parents decided to sell since are retiring elsewhere.
