Love this conversation, I have 4 acres that is fully leased for outdoor industrial storage.

I am currently beginning my journey to starting a self storage investing business and am reaching out to learn the best way to analyze a market.

At some point you can sell the items and use the money to pay storage fees.

I'm thinking of using a lawyer to apply for zoning/use variance but I'm not sure whether to keep it as a 5 unit house or combine 2 of the units, or convert basement into laundry + storage rental and make it 4 units.Price-wise it's a really good deal.

Hi all,I have heard that garages are always a plus to have for SFH's, but what if there is street parking and room for storage in a basement or shed?

We are the largest sq ft in our "section" of the neighborhood and offer more storage, bed/baths, updated kitchen, flooring, fixtures, paint, fenced - but we don't have a deeded boat slip, just community lake access.  

I have new cabinetry for the kitchen in storage.
