For now, the individual mandate penalty is a strong tool for keeping the system afloat (rightly or wrongly - I'm not going to debate that issue right now).I am also incredibly pleased to see that the 121 Exclusion (Capital Gains on the Sale of a Personal Residence) has not changed and remains at 2 of 5 years instead of what would have been a horrible 5 of 8.The amount of "other stuff" included in the bill is going to take a while to digest and commit to memory.
