These two problems I was luckily in town and got them resolved right away.How do I go about managing these problems in the future/now while I am away?

Also, if you could do it in your college town I would try that too.

So even if the gas is in the tenant’s name, if they don’t pay and skip town, the past-due gas bill can be issued as a lien against the house (and the owners responsibility)There are other cities that do this too - so you have to research your utilities to be sure your theory holds up.

I'm ready to buy in KC as an out-of-town investor but soon-to-be returning home to KC (military).

I guess you could say I am looking for logical "next steps" in exploring asking people to invest with us (how to decide terms, etc?)
