On top of that I have a descent amount in traditional investment platforms for when I turn 65. 

They are all predominantly media outlets unless you are dedicated to transforming the way you work.

The area of RE I have read the most about and which interests me the most (because I'm very happy in my career and am not -- yet -- ready to think about dedicating more to RE) is single family / small mutli-family, income generating + value-adding.

You will get a ton out of this site and all of the folks here that dedicate their time to helping out other investors.

That's from one of the major platforms, Realforeclose.com,  that does online auctions for 100's of different counties around the country.
