It is very difficult to get a financial return on impressive designs, as they cost more to build and no one wants to pay more for them.

Although cost isn't the most important (assuming they can help with achieving results), I had some quotes from downtown CPAs in San Francisco and frankly wasn't impressed with their knowledge for the a la-carte price charged.
