I don't know if it has been mentioned before, but the book "Verbal Judo" by George Thompson is a great read for anybody.

@Poe George As far as getting your ducks in a row, make certain that your FHA lender has experience doing FHA 203k loans, and not just another loan option they "can" do.You'll also want a contractor who has been properly educated on the 203k or has experience with the 203k, such as those with the designation as a Certified 203k Contractor.

As far as the Waco Meetup goes, it is at the George's on Speight and it is called "Waco Real Estate Investors Club."

@George Blower is there a way to pull from SDIRA to invest into real estate without having to pay back monthly payments?

I have narrowed down that I would like to invest in one of the towns along the Vancouver Island coast, between Duncan to Courtenay, as well as Langford (or a smaller municipality surrounding Victoria), Chilliwack, Prince George, or Powell River coast area.

There was a RE meetup that used to meet at George's on Speight but they haven't met for a while.I really enjoyed their meetups, they were fun and informative and I met a lot of great people there.

His brother George sure did in Texas and we got screwed. 10 years ago we sold our SFH in TX, about 2200 square feet, sold for $230,000.
