You'd then use that money to pay back your family member.To refinance, you'll need to make sure that the Appraised Value of the house is enough to cover the existing mortgage, plus any return you've promised your family member lender.

We flipped it in 6 months (rehab to sold) & made about $40k...we pulled a second on our home & started a promising water/oil hauling company in the eagle ford shale in Texas & ran for 2 years before finally getting taken to the cleaners by a slimeball...so I learned to trust nobody.Fast-forward to today, & I'm now president & CEO of my own real estate company Homes4Money.com.

Under a warranty deed, if it turns out that the property is not what the seller promised or there's an uncleared lien or other block to the title, the buyer can sue the seller and recover damages.

If it needs minor repairs and updates like paint and a little bit of work, I budget about 10k.If it needs new kitchens, floors, and almost everything needs updating I budget around 30k.After I run all the numbers, look at comps to see ARV and it still looks very promising I go out to see it.
