My advice, if you're working in tech in the valley, you can afford a couple hundred bucks to fly out to Indy and see it for yourself!

It's lower when you look at cost of living but you could fly to just about anywhere from Hartsfield-Jackson.  

Point is, I don't think a $30M spec house in Arizona is likely to fly off the market.

And if you invest more locally I would still fly there and you can cut the time down less than 2 hours.I work with a lot of beginning investors on BP investing in AZ and coming from CA, and my general recommendation for them is either a 2 hour drive or a 2 hour flight.

Anyone can fly a plane strait and level in good clear weather.

I am also told that the housing market there was really hot for the last few years but it has cooled down a bit.I am trying to fly there to check out some of the above mentioned areas and also will look at Valley Ranch, Keller and Fortworth area in general.

Plus the market is very hot here and we don't get to find a screaming deal because everything is flying off the shelf.Do you have the option of buying a multi-family in your price range and living in one side while renting the other?

I’m also looking for places with cheap direct flights from LA (aka Spirit flies there).
