Generally at settlement or the application process you will have to sign something about where the money comes from and whether there are any side deals the bank should know about.I am not going to sign anything that can send me to jail for bank fraud.

Dear Fellow Investors,I paid $ 600 for a letter from a structural engineer to tell me that a particular crack in the basement wall was NOT a structural crack but simply a typical settlement crack.The above was done because I am a licensed RE Broker, licensed Home improvement contractor, but I wanted an expert opinion from a professional who had a "higher" grade of license than I did.
