But I will not castigate you since you may not not about this guru stuff.....with $7k, you could well be on your way to acquiring your first investment property....That said, there are tons of materials on this site to educate and equip you for the journey ahead.Get into the Eductation section, immerse yourself in the podcasts, webiners, forums.....learn all you can and ask questions.....Folks in this site are wonderful and they love to help and share information..just ask....On a good note, do not be discouraged; consider the $8k a part of the lesson learned on your way to success......one day, you will tell the success story; lookd back and thank God you are on this site....my one cent..

I really can not wait to start in on this journey but like everyone else that is starting in this business it scares me a lot because there are so many number to consider and, I have a lot of family member that have done this and failed and I really don't want to see myself where they are at today. but to be honest that is why I have joined this community I feel that by reading the story everyone has to offer I will feel stronger and more equipped to do my first deal.

If you had a very expensive piece of income producing equipment like a piece of farm equipment, wouldn't you at least want to keep it maintained and preserved so as to maximize it's productive life, particularly if other people were paying to use it?

The reality I ran into was that a rural homestead, assuming you're not living like the Amish, depends on tools and equipment, and equipment breaks down, and you can't grow equipment parts in the garden.
