When walking down the street you stick out like a sore thumb and the first person that sees you walks up to you trying to hustle you for money, borrow your phone, etc.

I believe @Michael Plaks is based out of Houston and is very active on the forum with answering/helping with tax questions.For CPAs, I'd recommend prioritizing someone who is an expert in real estate over someone local (and if you find one that's both- great!).

There are so many neighborhoods and it really does vary from street to street in some areas.

You’re talking about the one on grant street? 

I believe the neighborhood is referred to as Bates-Hendricks and the units are all north of Raymond Street, east of Madison and west of I-65.  

The best source is drive the streets, talk to residents and investors who already have a footprint in the area.

Also have Windows based Laptop, and Apple IPad 2 for remote MLS Access that I carried when actively showing properties.  

In Pittsburgh, while there are neighborhoods that are better than others, more often deals can be found if you look street by street.
