As a mother I would not want the stove next to the dining room and patio door.

Not putting it on Craigslist, but more like an insurance placement due to fire, visiting nurse, Airbnb, etc and only market it to those people (and furnished?).

However, my wife and I "flipped" her mothers house a year ago, after she passed away,  and I saw the value of the process and how it can make money.

My mother passed away a year and a half ago and left me some money and I am going to use that to start.

My mother is an agent, and my dad has had a rental property for years, so I decided to get in on the action when I moved here to Atlanta for my PhD.

@Wayne Brooks Thanks for your feedback Wayne, the son does in fact have the title to the back parcel, this was transferred to him some years before his mother passed away.

I also had to declare personal bankruptcy in 2011 because of the divorce and the balance of that short sale.Fast forward 4 years, I am remarried, my wife and I had a house that was owned by her mother,  she let us use the equity in the house to rehab it and put it in our name.
