Locate your property as close to downtown that you can afford.  

But I'd be happy to talk to you about my experiences in either location if you need any more info!

do you consider Charlotte NC a good area for buy to let Investmens ? It looks like there are new investments in the area to create employment.

You need to locate those properties in a populated city with diversification and a growing population.
