This past year I have helped clients with cash-flowing short term rental properties (in Boulder County where it’s still legal, not City of Boulder), condos, and just helped a client pick up a SFH near the university with a bonus studio apartment built off the back that functions like a duplex and has initial cash flow.

If your state of residence is NY, then any income earned by the LLC will be taxed by the state where the income is earned (MI), by the state where the LLC is organized (CT), and by the state where you live (NY).
