They had returned to take care of the old man because he has terminal cancer and he signed the house back over to them.

My wife died two years ago of breast cancer so basically any time I'm not working I'm taking care of my kids and doing everything I can to make sure they are happy and engaged and learning (not just sitting in front of a TV), but it still doesn't feel like I have enough time with them and as they get older and start having baseball games and dance recitals, I don't want to just sub in a relative or some caregiver.
