Ultimately, my goal with real estate as opposed to my other investments, is to create another income stream in retirement by paying of the property and receiving the monthly income.I guess my fundamental question is, are investments through something like fundrise basically the equivalent of purchasing real estate in a group?

There's only one photo and it's of the exterior, so that tells you that it's either occupied with a hostile tenant or it's so much of a wreck inside that they didn't think photos would help.

Crown molding-No, garbage disposal-probably yes unless there is some major re-plumbing you have to do, exposing/pointing brick-keep it covered with drywall, if this is exterior brick veneer then ya you probably need to clean it up for better curb appeal.

I would focus on exterior appearance through siding choice, landscaping, and as everyone else has already mentioned, putting more focus on the entry. $1500 in landscaping would be much more well spent than paying someone to come and frame new openings and drywall/paint work.I will however say that I'm not a huge fan of your choice of colors for the new siding.

@Andrew Olmstead I am not opposed to turnkey as a whole, I just happened to have had a less than stellar experience with one particular provider, and one which I believe they have worked to improve for future clients.

When we purchase a property, we always look into what permits have been pulled in the past to better evaluate the value and integrity of the structure and it's surrounds.You wouldn't need permits for aesthetic elements such as: Cleaning, painting or refacing cabinetry.Replacing cabinet knobs and drawer pulls with simple, modern hardware.Installing new countertops on existing cabinets.Replacing backsplashes.Updating lighting fixtures.Updating plumbing fixtures.Replacing floor coverings.Painting over existing interior and exterior surfaces.
