Hard woods are valueable and some more valueable than others. 7 acres is too small for any general mill that makes typical 2x4s but can be worth their time if you have furniture grade lumber.

Keep it in increments of 2' with even numbers. (10-12-14-16, etc) That way you wont have to cut a foot off of every piece of 16 foot lumber you buy.
