I mailed on mondays so they got it on wednesday or thursday so it didn't compete with the thick monday's mail.

I used to work on Hotels and what we would do between rooms for the most sound proof wall assembly was have two layers of gypsum (mostly for fire protection) on each side and then stager 2" metal studs (4" thick wall total) with insulation wrapped between. 

I used a piece of moulding instead of bullnose tile for the side edges because of the increased thickness.

The area of a house includes all wall thicknesses interior and exterior.Do you measure this way?  

It is what you and your wife are very comfortable being able to afford on a monthly basis for a long time, through thick and thin.

Then you'll have to pay someone to repair it, nail it back into place... caulk and paint.Also, if the wall board is a different thickness than sheetrock you may run into an issue with the window and door casings needing to be adjusted for the difference in thickness.Not to mention the time and money spent tearing out all the sheetrock and surgically removing the trim, labeling it, storing it, etc.

I've used Allure twice so far, both times were over a very rough subfloor and the thickness & forgiveness of the Allure covered it all well.

The IsoCore has a 6mm thick surface and built in padding for sound reduction/insulation. 

You only need 1 inch thick to seal and insulate - not fill the bay.

The tile on my own home is probably about an inch thick and made of concrete so I doubt any hail would damage it and there much less chance wind will blow it off as opposed to light asphalt shingles.If I decide to move there I will be installing tile on my roof, I did see some houses there with tile but most of them were million dollar plus homes.
