It is absolutely huge and stretched out (as opposed to being in a U shape) would easily take up half a block.

Personally I’m being careful and not buying anything that would be a stretch to hold onto if I can’t sell it or rent it right away.

I just wouldn't stretch the value for the furniture.

i agree. with this low amount of cash on hand, it might be risky getting a loan in 12-18 months.Sounds like a decent deal just because the year of the building.If its not in "that great" of a area, and your going to be stretching to get it, i'd probably pass.I'll also tell u that I have NEVER met a realtor that knew what they were doing :) Most are pretty bad with real estate.

It stretches my thinking about real estate investing.

This IRA is an inheritance from my dad, known as a stretch or inheritance IRA.

I have financing lined up with NFCU but I'm stretching it to 6 months to make it more attractive at the full 8% which is $4000.  

The market is so expensive here, that would be a hard stretch..

While real estate can be a path to making some money ("substantial wealth" is likely a stretch for most investors) losing money is a VERY real prospect.
