I personally would meet with every other upset resident, in person, and apologise for having allowed the situation to get so far out of hand.It is very difficult renting out a condo and the full responsibility falls on the owner to insure that having tenants in a condo does not ever upset neighbours.

There may have been a clause in there put in by the landlord that may have let him change his mind within X time.It is possible that the neighbour was being 'helpful' and would move themselves if there were able, but in my experience, people just love to badmouth areas.A few days after I moved into my new home there was an arson attack by some kids from a nearby village, my neighbours indicated this sort of thing happens 'all the time', and that it was a 'terrible area' - they sounded deadly serious.

I might be able to increase income by renting the spots out to University students and renting out the garage.  2 out of the 6 units will be leaving the property in coming months.  3 out of the 6 units are rented by Chinese students with 1 year lease ended and currently on month-to-month basis. 1 Unit is rented to an elderly woman on 1 year lease and according to her neighbour, she has some mental disabilities (not sure if that's relevant).
