My husband reached out to corporate, Choice Hotels, and they refused to get involved and said a few months had lapsed since the incident (because we disputed it with our credit card, Wells Fargo, and it was declined on the last day of the claim window because the hotel responded to WF and said I had authorized the charges), and that the hotel "had decided" to keep the $250 charge without any substantiation.
