losing insurance coverage on HO3, looking for professional services

I have been notified that coverage on an HO3 will not continue in about a month or so and yet I still have an open claim and it has not been fully settled yet. I am unsure if I will be able to get continuing coverage and am afraid I may lose the property all together at this point. Was considering moving it to an entity prior to the incident but have not done so yet and wanted to know if that would be an option for other coverages as it is under a mortgage but has been longer than a year. Reaching out to see what options I may have to maintain the mortgage and get coverage on the property as I have just been notified it will be canceled in less than a months time.

Little background on situation is a side by side duplex, storm damage and fallen trees. Quoted 4-5K just for tree removal and only received $500 on that. Partially paid claim after seeking out adjusters and property assessors, still in limbo almost a year later, with no word on progress and then received note that coverage will end in less than a month. Would be grateful to speak on the subject in greater detail to pinpoint what my options may be as I have many other issues that tie in as well. What options do I have given the circumstances?

Should I reach out to the mortgage company for hardship, as it was during a lengthy hospital stay and have not been able to get my previous employment and been out of work since?

What options would I have if transferring property to an entity to maintain the mortgage in place?

Would I be able to get coverage elsewhere as is with an open claim on the property?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
