I would like to work towards finding an area to invest where I can buy home homes in that 50K and under range for buy and holds.Prefer a 100K or higher population as I do enjoy having some entertainment and activities.I have been googling and looking around quite a bit to get ideas.I know this is vague, but it is the beginning of a long search.

Food, clothing, shelter (unless you 'own' a mortgage), entertainment, etc., expenses are irrelevant in underwriting.

I just spent Christmas in NW D.C. with a great family, wonderful friends, delish eats & plenty of good entertainment.

They may not be pursuing all the avenues or entertaining all candidates since they think you will pick up the slack.

I believe weeding out the non-interested by listing as you have described is a good idea.I've entertained the thought of using CL, but in my immediate area (Lake County and Kenosha County) I don't know that it will be useful.

For us the first level is finding potential: Growing population in an area with growing jobs near convenient transportation, shopping, services and entertainment options.
