Here in the USA we're facing 5% rates recently, so over 30 years, your $250K house will actually cost $375 including interest and that does not include property taxes, maintenance, repairs, insurance etc.She said the catch is (at least in areas outside of Tokyo which is booming up to the Olympics), is that used real estate is very cheap so after you buy a home it's guarantee to drop over the years.

I'd like to know what that is (or maybe I just have to contact them for that), because my neighborhood is so new and booming that every agent and investor I've talked to in the local area is hard-pressed to make solid evaluations beyond what sale prices are tending to pop up.

You can have the option when the real estate economy is in a different place....when you can buy turnkeys in booming markets so you end up getting a good bit of appreciation on them over a couple-few years (like Atlanta in 2011-2012...all my turnkeys there have doubled or tripled in value since).
