@Bryan Devitt I have found that the shower panels sold at HD and Lowes are not even fiberglass, but a plastic.

I wanted to go in with a paint gun prior to ripping out the carpet and just go nuts priming/sealing everything (since there is a ton of old stained shiplap panelling).

And then renegotiate with a new lease.I could instead add it temporarily to the 'common/landlord' panel, but that will probably require a panel upgrade, which is going to cost more than a few hundred $$.Do you have any suggestions on how to handle it?
