If they clarify and explain a legitimate concern, I would have someone fix the issue before failure. 

Even an emergency while she's gone is something she'll have to deal with as a parent...so to answer your question yes I think you're being unreasonable, though I think she is as well in her response to you stating that you do intend to enforce the rule you legitimately informed her of in advance.

People break leases all the time for legitimate reasons (as you mentioned), but they can work with their landlord to terminate or assign their lease with landlord's written permission.

This includes legitimate, adopted, and illegitimate children.The reacquisition of Philippine citizenship is not automatic.

From what they've told me investors don't have a legitimate reason to have one.

The form can require a signature and identifying/licensing information and place of business of the medical professional or social worker that completes it; and you can require that it be provided by a "reliable source" (internet certificates, out of state professionals (unless prospect has relocated, but has personally been seen within one year) or similar legitimate, verifiable sources.

I have no doubt that they are legitimate.
