Fortunately, he prefers to go to expensive bars rather than make noise in his condo.I have a couple of higher end SFR tenants who are the same way.

There's also no condo association to fine the other unit's owner for excessive noise, failure to keep the exterior and yard well maintained, parking a dozen junk cars in the yard, etc.I *hate* the location.  

I thought to myself yesterday, driving around town: is this development signal or noise for the city's future prospects (employment growth, population growth, etc.)?

@Stephanie Soltero No and No.... just grinding and putting in the work, word of mouth, driving by ugly properties, CL, Zillow, expired listings, pre foreclosures... etc  I take lots time but spend zero money

@Maximo Jacobo If you’re only parking your money for a few months then two things: (1) you want something with high liquidity so you can enact your plans with least friction, and (2) the rates don’t really matter that much (unless it’s a sizable amount of cash), you should do the math on the interest income but I think you’ll find it’s just noise.

Then tenants complaints noise between upstairs and downstairs due to the very thin walls between the condo.

. $50 per month for a dog earns you $600 a year and you get to keep it, whereas deposits are usually smaller and have to be returned.Be very, very clear about noise levels!
