Short term vacation rentals come with an additional tax burden of 10.25% in Hawaii, the Transient Accommodations Tax (TAT).

I particularly enjoy browsing through county records although I'm not sure if it's the most effective method.

I really enjoy going to KC to see my local partners and enjoy the city.

One of them was a vacant Kmart property that I presented to a client 1.5 years ago to convert to indoor boat storage (near big vacation lake)... they didn't pursue... last week it was announced U-haul had purchased the property to convert to indoor storage. 

You only need to live in a house for one year to enjoy all the benefits of owner-occupied financing.

I guess it truly comes down to if I live with my roommmates in a home closer to downtown (which I would enjoy as well); I would have more control of the tenants as they are my college roommates and long time friends.
