If you don't think so, ask yourself, "Is the newb on BP that i took advice from going to show up in court when i screw this up?"

Courts take time, better to non-renew as soon as you take ownership, give them the heads up your not renewing them and that you'd accept a early notice to vacate with a bonus once apartment is emptied. 

A person basically holds a claim on said property (pays the taxes) and adversely, openly claims that property as his/hers.After a period of time, 5, 10, 20 years a court order can give you free title. 

My current residence is in a gated community with pools, tennis courts, etc.

I've read different scenarios here on BP but I was told: Purchase the property, go to a certain court office, file an eviction.

Money well spent.While their is a vast amount of knowledge, and experience on this site..the people on this site aren't going to be there if you screw up and end up in court. 

This includes money, real property, cars, homes, aircraft...You do have the right to go to federal court to and try to get your property back.
