I bought a condo for my daughters to live in while at college and will keep renting after they are gone. 

The demand for homes with a bit of land and a shop is high where I live, leading to a larger buyer pool and quicker sales.

If you live in San Marcos it is roughly 30 minutes north on I35 to Austin and about the same south on I35 to San Antonio.

We currently live in New York City working as architects.

Since I live less than a mile away from a hospital and clinic. this would be a perfect thing to set up. though, the amenities will have to be furnished.

I couldn’t find a clear answer on how long you had to live in the “primary” residence. 

My parents have been living there until recently when I had to move them back to the Bay Area due to heath issues.

Is there a cost of living difference for the agents?  

It seems fairly difficult to get into something there but I may reach out in the future @AJ Wong if we decide to move forward.I don't live in the area so it wouldn't be a hosted rental situation @John Mason but it's good to know about that option.
