Then bump your property up against other houses that are similar to it and that have sold within the last 6 months.I personally like zillow because its easy for me to enter the address of my house and then set the filters I like to use and see sold homes close to it - how much they sold for and when.Here is typically how I filter my results:1) Enter the address of the property2) Set the square footage filters to +/- 150 to 250 square foot.So if its a 1,300 sq ft home, set it to 1100 to 1450.

You can get a new construction home ranging anywhere from 1,500 to 2,500 heated and cooled square footage for 700 to 1k annually with pretty good coverages.

If you have an uninsured worker renovate your bathroom and it starts a fire (even for no reason of theirs), your insurance company will NOT cover the damages.Plus the next potential buyer for the home will check the permit records and see that the work was not permitted/licensed (you typically need a License to pull a permit) and there goes about 50% of the value on that square footage.....Generally, a licensed Contractor will deliver a far superior product than a Handyman or unlicensed scab.
