I am looking for multifamilies at Union, couple parts of Essex and lower part of Bergen.

Have a couple GCs bid the job for you.

For STR you will want to have a pool and preferably a canal that leads to the Gulf.

When coupled with a good homeowners insurance policy, you can have most of your bases covered.An example would be.....if my A/C unit dies, then I would call the Home Warranty company to come service/repair/replace it. 

I know there are networking groups like ACRE and Pittsburgh REIA but I get the feeling that I'll be paying a membership fee to get talked at for a couple hours which is not what I'm looking for.
