My own mother passed away unexpectedly in 2000 and I was working 15-18 hour days and never made as much time for her as I could have. 

One outlet quit working - that was the only problem.

I have been very intrigued with the idea of wholesaling and owning rentals and from what I can tell it seems these are two RE niches that many BP contributors suggest as good beginning outlets in the REI world for newcomers.  

Closed on the property like 6 weeks ago and profit was just under my projections (had unexpected expense).  

Another very important part of real estate investing is networking.You can meet like minded people at local real estate investing associations, through forums like bigger pockets and through other social media outlets.  

They added a sink, gas stove, electrical outlets, and a bedroom. 

But as said, if there's an obstruction and you keep using water, the house system will fill till it finds an outlet.
