Even Bakersfield seems like it could be in trouble with the oil job layoffs.

When you have a bunch of single guys in one unit - they use too much oil when cooking so it shorts out the heating element on the stove.

If you want to blow it out of proportion, or you've been sold snake oil more than once, I am very sorry.

I certainly hope the investors in oil dependent parts of the country have some reserves, because I believe they are in for some tough times ahead.  

There are a lot of snake-oil salesmen out, there will sell you an LLC for funding, but you need to pay upfront not out of the funding and don't fall in the sales pitch that an LLC can get a loan it will not happen unless you have good personal credit and guarantee it.Joe Gore

Still, water is practically free there.For locks, use graphite lubrication, not something with oils that gel/gunk up when cold.

Art was a little odd... as he self managed all these properties.He also like to check them out monthly if some one had a car leaking oil boy they would hear about it...

The hood above the stove is not typically required but without it you will have a mess on the ceiling above from the grease and oils.

I have seen a lot oil field workers here go out and make $70K in a year and buy a new truck, 4 wheeler, camper trailer, etc.
