Sounds to me like a money making scam.

The scam likely goes like this - they send you the cashiers check and you deposit it and it appears to clear.

Recently I had a guest try to scam me by claiming that the place had trash all over the living room when they arrived.

Stay away, complete scam.

can you share any details of how the scam was set up .. so others can look out for it. 

I felt compelled to right about the loan application process so you can understand it and avoid getting scammed.

@January Johnson  court house steps is public auction with set bid.. dealing direct with owner in distress  is not.. most of the foreclosure rescue scams that got shut down a few years back were located in FLA... these were bad actors.

I just got scammed real bad by a group of "investors" "contractors" and now I see that they are now employed with another company Veristone Capital, which is a "hard money"company in Kirkland.

But the above posters are right this just screams of a "something is missing" scam.
