Doing mutiple mailings is what is more important to get results.Having a list mailed 5-7 times will get you more hits and hits make deals.I use yellow post cards through Click2mail.com through USPS.com Its a great service.

If anyone from CA or AZ thinks they have hit bottom already, they are sadly mistaken and should do some more research.AZ is estimated to have another year or two of loss in value followed by 3-4 years of stagnation.
