Many commonly know the the end of WWII at end of '45', and know of the "rush" of returning soldiers needing roofs over there head, making for what was the biggest real estate boom in U.S. history. 

@Joseph Hamaoui, we chose Orlando because we have lived in the area previously (Winter Haven and Kissimmee), we have friends here, and because it seems to be a boom town right now for real estate.

The area is booming, and starting to spill over into areas like Florence and Coolidge (where there is also a hybrid semi-truck plant in the works, btw).So, make sure that you aren't distracted by the shiny cheap acquisition price. 

Find the next 'probable boom areas' and do your research there.I think the market is really full, but there is always room for a wise investor that doesn't just rush in blindly (like most new STR investors do)...Good luck!

My area is booming and multiple apartment complexes are being built right now.
