Steps:get pre qualified for both construction loan and end mortgage first (construction loan can include land acquisition)then shop for land / farms etc - when you find something you like you'll be ready to pouncewhile you are shopping you can interview builders / manufactured home offices / etc. - when you find your parcel you'll know what direction you want to takeWhen you put a parcel under contract you will be allowed some time for your inspections and due dilligence.

@Jay VanOrden- thanks 1) check with the dealer / manufacturer 2) resaerch other transactions that are similar to see how the funding worked 3) contact the smaller to mid size banks and credit unions in the area for options 4) consider including your home ( if appic) for a cross colaterilazation deal if avaiable

My parents live down in Oregon, and I hear that market is continuing to rise in both markets.I've also heard that Reno, NV is expected to boom in the following years due to the Tesla Motors manufacturing plant and their large volume of factory workers / technicians they will employ.
