The seller's broker is bound to inform any other interested party of this issue.If you're willing to do the work to figure out how to sort this out, you may be in a great position to do a deal.

I think I might have a few people in that post-bidding price range, I'll let their Realtors know if it comes up" is broadly accepted as normal activity (I'm not commenting on what SHOULD be, merely on what IS) unless some sort of confidentiality is specifically requested. 

An offer of at least some sort of discount or ability to reschedule will go a long way.

Remember inspection reports are a laundry list, you need to sort out what is important. 

You just have to sort through a lot more deals right now to find the right one.

@Christopher Alvarez Yes happy to help you and more than willing to share my experiences. i live in new britain now and did so for 10 years a few years back. the city has the same sort of crime any other area does. i can tell you for sure, it has improved since i lived there last. i would not be too worried about that but i would say its important to get with someone that knows the area street by street.
