If they do not pay market rent in an area, I could see why some might refuse to rent to a voucher holder.Depends on where your at on the demographic side of things.. out here in Oregon 90% of section 8 tenant are white or some version of it.bad tenant is bad tenant..

I guess time will time, it's been about a year so far that I have started to rent to S8 tenants.Keep in mind, you don't want to rent to S8 tenants in B+ areas....I would obviously love to avoid S8 simply on the basis of avoiding inspection however if the area's demographics are in favor of that population, go for it.

There is a lot of information online in terms of growth, demographics, etc.The less expensive areas tend to have pretty old houses and there tends to be a trend of deferred maintenance.
