It’s hard to be objective when you’re in the thick of things.

I converted my homestead condo in Uptown Dallas to a rental property 2 years ago when I married and moved, and I am hoping some experienced - and objective - investors can advise me about whether to sell or continue to hold it. 

I was glad to get keys back.All this to say that since then I've made objective criteria and pre-qualification questionnaire a requirement before allowing someone to apply (I use apartments.com) my results have been night and day (there is an early Rookie podcast where I took much of my current criteria).

Federal law allows relatives to assume an existing mortgage after the death of a borrower; bank cannot object so this is not a "subject to" issue.

Don't fall victim to the shiny object syndrome.

SWOTWhen you are comparing different locations you will have a combination of objective data (numbers - easy to compare) and subjective data (opinions, interpretations, points of view, emotions and judgment - hard to compare).

It's possible the borrower has objected to some part of the foreclosure process and either the bank's attorney agrees there was a screw up or the borrower is appealing the foreclosure. 

Far more people invest in stocks and the market is perfectly efficient and Wall Street is hard to beat at its own game. RE

I'm not opposed to eventually branching to OH, currently I'm trying to avoid shiny object syndrome and focus on the Orlando market but always love possibilities!
