Hi @Priyanshu Adathakkar and @Adam Adams, The threats to Section 1031 of the Internal Revenue Code ("1031 Exchange") tend to surface every 3 to 5 years.

Lastly I would look for a seasoned investor who might be willing to take on a young intern who was eager to learn the business and who you might be able to help out in exchange for teaching you how to be an investor.   

Same could be said for any other large business hub internationally (Paris, Beijing, Tokyo, etc.). 

Hi - I'm curious to learn more about how Florida condotels work, particularly those in buildings managed by international hotel chains such as Hilton, Conrad, Marriott etc.I found some generic information online, but am curious about the following.  

Most banks with branches seem to be 100% independent....ie Citibank Mexico is almost totally separate from Citibank New York...maybe just name is the same.FYI when I use specific bank names sometimes it is a more general concept than the rules and regs of that specific bank.There are some 100% online banks now like Ally, Marcus from Goldman Sachs, Chime....not sure if those allow international accounts or not.

Bottom line is it sounds like there is currently no national/international database of towns that are more/less accommodating for STRs.
