Sounds counter-intuitive, but it can make sense.Your statement about returns is incorrect as the 3 cities with Best Buy n hold returns since 2000 are all California cities.

“I'm meeting with my accountant in a week”… I would talk to a 1031 pro also… These can be tricky if not done correctly… and 6 years from now you don’t want to find out it was done incorrectly and that you owe say… $175,000 in Taxes.Just my 2 cents...Anyone have any "helped a family" member story they would like to tell?
