Podcasts, webinars, seminars and meet-ups are great for education and inspiration but your 1st deal needs to be simple and rewarding - a home you own.

All the books, coaching, webinars, seminars...they all paint a picture that anyone can do this with little to no money and poor credit.

Consider BAH rates and lean towards the rentable 3/2 if possible.You can learn a lot prowling the forums, read everything, analyze deals (I have run about 50 now and I feel I’ve learned the most from this), listen to podcasts for motivation, attend webinars, and ask questions.

After reading a lot of articles and discussion (big time lurker), and listening to many podcasts and watching a few webinars.

I would also recommend participating in some of the very useful weekly webinars here on BP.

SOOO anyways, I missed most of the webinar but signed up because I had high respect for John and always thought he gave good content.

In the meantime, I'm consuming as much Bigger Pockets books/podcasts/webinars as possible!

I’ve watched Marko Rubels webinar but I’m very hesitant to spend $1k and get run arounds or get suckered into spending more.

Participating in the forums, attending webinars and reading the books are all great ways to get up to speed - but nothing beats getting out there and talking to like-minded investors.
