You can even hit up garage sales (also advertised on Craigslist), or drive through college towns in May or August and see what's available on the side of the road (frazzled students tend to give away perfectly nice things at the end of a semester or summer).

I've completed 1 semester of that successfully and recently (approx 60 days ago) decided that I have a goal of retiring using real estate and looking at the current education push as a way to fulfill the 7th remedy for a lean purse (Richest man in babylon reference) although I just finished the audiobook a week or so ago.So, I found myself already on the right path for several of the things and after reading that, Rich Dad Poor Dad and in the process of Think and Grow Rich my mindset has been changed from a poor person who has been struggling in life to a wealthy real estate investor who is just getting started with both of those goals.
