Or I could do a sliding wooden wall /doors between the bedroom and living room for some privacy, like in smaller Hawaiian type timeshares.The upstairs apartments are 2 bed, one downstairs is 2 bed, one is 1 bed.For me its a buy and hold/rental income property.Thoughts? 

-Lower cost - means lower risk on your first deal when you are getting started and still learning-Potential lower vacancy rate depending on property because there is higher likelihood of long term tenants that want privacy, etc that only SFR offers.

The resons people rent a SFR over an apprtment accoring what they tell me at showings:- want privacy / not hear their neighbors through the walls- want a yard, maybe have a dog, would like to have friends over for a BBQ - think lifestyle!

Well, the tenant who's complained about the mice is refusing entry stating the repeated visits is a violation of privacy.

But, for a long term tenant, I want to give them their space/privacy, of course.
